Job description:
We are looking for an experienced, relationship-driven Sales Director to grow our partner ecosystem across North America and Europe, with knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Oracle NetSuite partner channels.
As part of the senior leadership team you will own a partner portfolio, line manage a small sales team (currently two direct reports), and work with the UK Directors to deliver growth for the group.
Responsibilities:
Managing the sales team with responsibility for performance, development and growth.
Proactively developing and managing relationships with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Oracle NetSuite partners.
Identifying new partnership opportunities, aligning Nolan solutions with partner business models, and supporting market expansion through structured plans, reviews, and KPIs.
Growing existing partner accounts by building trust, understanding business needs, and acting as a strategic advisor on sales, implementation, support, and long-term partner success.
Generating, qualifying, and following up on sales opportunities while producing accurate, professional written proposals.
Enabling partners to successfully sell and promote Nolan solutions through product training, sales support, joint campaigns, events, demonstrations, and customer webinars. This will include leading the design of a partner portal on our website.
Creating and contributing to engaging marketing plans that launch new products, educate customers, and support partner success.
Coordinating pre-sales, services, support, marketing, finance, and product resources to help partners and customers achieve successful outcomes.
Maintaining accurate CRM records for prospect, partner, and customer communications, pipeline activity, and opportunity management.
Monitoring partner performance, identifying improvement areas, and driving follow-up actions that create long-term value.
Continually developing industry, market, product, and competitive knowledge across Business Central, NetSuite, and Nolan solutions.
Representing Nolan at partner, customer, and industry events, with a willingness to travel when required.
Along with the above you should be able and willing to share ideas, learn new technology, and develop close and sustainable relationships with our clients.
Skills and Competencies
We are looking for a driven hands-on sales leader who is structured and energized by building strong relationships in the ERP ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring:
Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central value-added resellers, Oracle NetSuite partners, ERP resellers, ISVs, or related partner ecosystems.
An active network within the Business Central and/or NetSuite community is strongly preferred.
Experience leading a successful sales team enabling their growth and enjoying their successes.
A strong track record in partner account management, channel sales, business development, or strategic account management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage convincingly one-on-one and with groups at all levels.
Experience managing, coaching, and supporting sales staff, including setting expectations, monitoring performance, and helping team members develop their skills.
Ability to identify practical ways to increase sales, improve conversion rates, expand partner engagement, and strengthen revenue-generating activity.
Experience working closely with marketing teams to plan campaigns, create effective sales materials, support lead generation, and align messaging with partner and customer needs.
Strong pipeline, activity, and opportunity management skills, with a focus on achieving revenue and sales targets.
A commercial mindset and motivation to create growth through shared partner and customer success.
A solution-oriented, problem-solving approach and the ability to translate partner needs into clear, value-creating actions.
Strong organizational habits, attention to detail, and commitment to keeping CRM and sales activity current.
A collaborative, team-first attitude and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across departments and geographies.
Willingness and ability to travel for partner meetings, customer meetings, and industry events as needed.
