What’s New in NetSuite 2026.2
by Sam Power on
NetSuite 2026.2 has arrived! Oracle has begun rolling out the new release, bringing a range of new features and enhancements that will be available in your next update. These changes are designed to make everyday tasks more efficient, improve financial processes, and strengthen the security of your data.
In this blog, we've highlighted some of the key updates that will be coming to your account, along with an exciting preview of features planned for NetSuite customers in the UK.
Passkey as a 2FA Authenticator
To help keep your data secure, a key focus of NetSuite 2026.2 is the introduction of FIDO2-compliant passkeys as a two-factor authentication (2FA) method.
Passkeys provide a simpler way to authenticate. Users with a FIDO2-compliant passkey can now use it instead of an authenticator app when completing two-factor authentication.
This benefits users as it makes logging in to NetSuite more convenient and maintains strong security controls to help protect your account and data.
Payment Runs
Managing multiple supplier payments can be a time-consuming part of the accounts payable process. To help streamline this process, NetSuite 2026.2 introduces a new Payment Run transaction type.
Payment Runs allow users to group multiple payable transactions together, select the relevant payment account, review the total payment amount, and approve the payment run before generating the resulting vendor payments.
This enhancement is particularly useful for organisations processing large volumes of supplier payments, reducing manual effort and removing the need to manage individual bills separately.
Tax on Term Discounts
For UK organsiations using SuiteTax, you can now automate tax adjustments when you apply term discounts on purchase transactions.
Previously, when a supplier offered an early-payment or settlement discount, the discount could be accounted for, but any associated tax adjustment would require entering the calculation manually.
With 2026.2, NetSuite can automatically generate adjustment transactions for the discount and associated tax amount, depending on the account configuration. This helps reduce manual tax adjustments and could improve consistency when processing supplier payments where term discounts apply.
Excel Exports
One update that will make a noticeable difference to reporting in NetSuite is the move from .xls to .xlsx as the default Excel export format for lists, saved searches, and reports. This will improve compatibility with modern versions of Microsoft Excel and support larger data sets.
