Setup Checklist

The setup checklist takes you through the steps needed to setup eRequest

Business Central

Install eRequest from the App Source into your Business Central

Follow the instructions to install the eRequest Business Central App

Once installed the setup wizard will start automatically, if not you can search of Nolan eRequest Setup Wizard to start it manually.

Step through the wizard,

You will be prompted to Grant Permission for the Nolan Business Solutions S2S application to access you business central, you will require a user with Administrator permission to grant this.

At the end of the Wizard it will prompt for a NCS Account Number, and Link Code.
You can get these from the ‘Check list’ in NCS.  Note:  the Link Code is time limited, you can refresh the link code using the ‘Get New Link Code’.
Once your Business Central and NCS eRequest are successfully linked, eRequest create a ERP Connection to represent the connection, and copy the company information into eRequest.

Grant Consent for eRequest to access your Office 365

NCS eRequest for Business Central requires consent to access your Office 365 Teams environment.

An administrator will be required to grant consent for your Office 365 tenant.

This is a one-time process. Once consent has been granted, all users within your organisation can use the eRequest Teams App.

Import your Office 365 users to eRequest

Assign Users to Companies

Associate Users with the Business Central companies

Create an Approval Group Hierarchy

Create the Request and Invoice Approval hierarchy, and assign users

Create Request Forms for each type of Request

Create request forms for each type of request your users are going to generate

Netsuite

Install eRequest App into your NetSuite Account

Follow the instructions to install the NetSuite eRequest App

Once installed the select the Nolan eRequest for NetSuite -> Setup -> Configure eRequest menu option

It will prompt for a NCS Account Number, and Link Code.
You can get these from the ‘Check list’ in NCS.  Note:  the Link Code is time limited, you can refresh the link code using the ‘Get New Link Code’.
Once your NetSuite account and NCS eRequest are successfully linked, eRequest create a ERP Connection to represent the connection, and copy the company information into eRequest.

 Next you need to setup NetSuite so that eRequest can access your ERP Data.  Follow the NetSuite documentation to setup an Integration and OAuth2 Machine to Machine client access.
Once you have completed these steps, you should have noted down the your.

  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • Certificate ID
  • Certificate File, and Key File

Navigate to ERP Connections in eRequest.  There will be a record for your NetSuite account, select it, and under 'Change Credentials' enter the details you generated in NetSuite.
NOTE: You need to upload the Certificate Key file, NOT the one that was uploaded to NetSuite.
