Approving Requests

When a Request requires your approval, there are several factors to consider:

  • Approval Flow: The approval flow for a Request is influenced by the originating group. This may mean that you are the final approver, or you may need to submit the request to another user for further approval.
  • Approval Limits: Your user approval limits are defined for each currency. You can only approve requests up to your designated limit.
  • Budget Considerations: Depending on the configurations set by your administrator, the system may provide warnings or errors if approving the request will exceed the budget.

Actions You Can Take:

  • Approve: If the Request is within your approval limits and you are authorized to approve it, you can use the Approve action.
  • Submit: If further approval is required, you may need to use the Submit action to submit the Request to another user. The users available to submit to will depend on the Request’s approval group and total amount.
  • Reject: You can reject the Request, returning it to the originating user.

What Happens After Approval:

  • Once a Request is approved, its status will change to "Approved".
  • The approval date and the user who approved the Request will be recorded.
